The Allegation

The client faced several allegations of assault involving an intimate partner. A further incident was alleged approximately one year later, resulting in an additional charge of assault causing bodily harm.

Through continued negotiations and detailed submissions, our lawyer advocated for the criminal charges to be resolved without prosecution.

 

The Result

Paul E. Briggs persuaded Crown counsel to withdraw all criminal charges. The client entered into a section 810 recognizance and did not receive a criminal record as a result of the charges.
